I'm not against improving HO welfare, but why is MO welfare always ignored? If fatigue is dangerous for HOs, then fatigue is also dangerous for MOs. If burnout matters for HOs, then burnout also matters for MOs. MOs hold up the health care system.

DG Mahathar's new circular, which limits housemen's working hours, is good for junior doctors. MOH should adopt a "Doctors Come First" motto to ensure staff retention. There will always be patients, but without doctors, waiting times will remain long.

Tunku Azizah Hospital says it has sacked an admin assistant, a MyStep staff who allegedly scammed about 190 housemen out of over RM47,000, and filed a police report, stressing that collection of cash or payments to staff's personal accounts isn't allowed.
