PM Anwar, if doctors are rejecting permanent positions that were once used as a carrot to entice them, it’s obvious that the system has failed. JPA, MOF, and MOH must come up with real decisions before public health care slides further towards collapse.

HSAJB is investigating a medical officer's sexual harassment complaint against an anaesthesiologist. The junior doctor was allegedly asked by a superior to withdraw her report. Nurses have also complained about the specialist's "unprofessional" behaviour.

Dzulkefly Expects 10% Cut To Health Ministry’s Budget

Dr Dzul says he expects a cut of about 10% to MOH's RM46.5 billion budget, but maintains that "essential core services" will be protected. A 10% cut is equivalent to RM4.65 billion, much higher than the RM3 billion cut initially suggested by the Treasury.
