KUALA LUMPUR, April 8 — CodeBlue is running a survey on medical officers’ preference for placements, following the recent ePlacement debacle.
Health Minister Dzulkefly Ahmad recently announced that the new ePlacement system will replace its first-come, first-served basis with other “algorithms” to be fair.
After several delays following the nullification of the February 27 ePlacement results for 2,245 medical officers for permanent positions, due to technical system issues, the new ePlacement session is expected to be held early next month.
CodeBlue’s poll aims to identify where medical officers would like to serve, the factors behind their preferred placements, and their opinions on reforming the placement process.
Among the questions in CodeBlue’s survey are whether you’re currently serving in your preferred state, type of facility, or hospital department; which state you’d like to serve in; and whether you support replacing fixed intakes of centralised placements by the Human Resource Division (BSM) with year-round recruitment directly by individual hospitals.
Only medical officers (contract or permanent) in the public sector in Malaysia are invited to participate in the survey. Questions are in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
