KUALA LUMPUR, August 26 — A 13-year-old boy from Penang took his own life because he reportedly couldn’t cope with school work.
The Star reported that the child’s parents found his body at home in George Town last Saturday night.
“The boy was rushed to the Penang Hospital but died on his way there,” George Town OCPD Asst Comm Che Zaimani Che Awang was quoted saying.
“The teenager was also said to have little interest in studying. He had complained of having too much homework before.”
