Health Minister Dr Dzul and the government are appealing the entirety of a High Court verdict that nullified the delisting of liquid nicotine because they're "dissatisfied" with the ruling, says the AGC in a June 12 notice of appeal to the Court of Appeal.

Aide Claims Ex-Health Minister Zaliha Rejected RM50m Offer To Drop Tobacco GEG

Dr Zaliha Mustafa’s aide Sivamalar claims she witnessed the then-health minister rejecting an RM50 million offer to drop the tobacco GEG policy. Sivamalar says they didn’t report the bribe offer to authorities. The GEG was later axed from the tobacco bill.

GATS Malaysia Survey Proves Vape Availability Doesn’t Cut Tobacco Smoking

The 2023 GATS Malaysia survey proves that vape availability does not cut tobacco smoking. Current tobacco smoking prevalence dropped only 4 points to 19% in 2023 from 23.1% in 2011, but dual tobacco/ e-cig users rose to 3.9%. Vape prevalence surged 600%.
