For Syed Johari, it took six months, two private hospital visits, two lung specialists' consultations, a hospitalisation episode, five days of antibiotics treatment, multiple scans and tests, and a biopsy before he was finally diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, a rare lung disease.
