KUALA LUMPUR, June 28 – Financial magazine Asiamoney has ranked IHH Healthcare Berhad Malaysia’s top company for the decade starting 2010.
The government-linked corporation (GLC), which operates Pantai and Gleneagles hospitals here, also received four Asiamoney accolades in that time, the most for any Malaysian company in that time under Asiamoney’s “Asia’s Outstanding Companies Awards: 30 Years of Corporate Governance Awards”.
The four awards were 2016 Best Managed Companies Poll – Large Cap, 2016 Best Overall for Corporate Governance Poll, 2018 Asia’s Outstanding Companies Poll – Malaysia, and 2018 Asia’s Outstanding Companies Poll – Healthcare.
“We are honoured to be named the top outstanding company in Malaysia over the past decade by Asiamoney.
“This is an acknowledgement from the investment community of our continual drive towards excellence, transparency and rigorous corporate governance,” IHH managing director and CEO Dr Tan See Leng said in a statement.
Now in its 30th year, the annual Asiamoney ranking of Best Managed Companies, Corporate Governance Poll and Outstanding Companies in Asia are based on votes from over 10,000 sell-side analysts and investors.
Participants are invited to recognise companies with the best overall performance including its financials, management team, investor relations (IR) activities and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and good corporate governance.
