Emergencies happen in ordinary places – at home, at school, at the supermarket. When they do, will you be ready? In those first few critical minutes, you could be the difference between panic and protection.
We, the Asian Medical Students’ Association (AMSA) of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) are proud to present our First Aid Workshop, designed to equip participants with essential life-saving skills in a practical and engaging way. It will take place on March 14, 2026, from 8.30am to 5.30pm at UTAR Sungai Long campus.
This workshop is open to you – whether you’re a student, parent, teacher, or simply someone who wants to be prepared when it matters most.
You will be able to learn:
- Fundamentals of first aid and basic wound care.
- Fracture and sprain management.
- Common injuries management.
- Choking management.
- Basic life support (CPR and AED).
First aid is not just a skill, it is a responsibility we carry as members of the community. In moments of crisis, knowing how to respond can save lives, prevent complications, and provide comfort before professional help arrives.
Don’t wait for an emergency to realise how valuable these skills are. Take this chance to equip yourself, practice hands-on techniques, and leave knowing that you are ready to make a real difference.
Every moment counts, and with the right preparation, you could be the reason someone survives tomorrow.
