KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 21 — Selgate Corporation marks a major milestone with the opening of Selgate Specialist Hospital Rawang (SSH Rawang), its first flagship private health care facility in the central region.
The launch of SSH Rawang reflects Selgate’s long-term vision to provide high-quality, compassionate, and accessible health care to communities across Selangor.
To commemorate the occasion, the hospital is hosting the SSH Rawang Opening Carnival from October 24 to 26, 2025, featuring free basic health screenings (BMI, blood pressure, glucose tests) and a special cupcake giveaway for visitors throughout the week.
With rising health care needs driven by urban growth, Selgate’s expansion into Rawang represents a timely investment in strengthening the region’s health infrastructure.
SSH Rawang is designed to serve as a trusted neighbourhood specialist hospital, one that delivers everyday care that feels personal, bridging the gap between tertiary hospitals and local clinics.
The opening also represents the pinnacle of Selgate’s decade-long journey in Malaysia’s health care ecosystem.
The Group first built its foundation through its Selcare brand, encompassing a network of general practitioner (GP) clinics, dental clinics, diagnostics labs, pharmacies, and home nursing services.
Beyond service delivery, Selcare has also managed numerous welfare and health programmes for the Selangor state government, including SELVAX (Covid-19 vaccination) and Selangor Saring (free health screening) initiatives, serving more than 500,000 people over the years.
Selgate’s digital innovation through the Selangkah App further transformed how Malaysians accessed health care during the pandemic, enabling real-time health tracking, vaccination scheduling, and seamless engagement with clinics and service providers.
Now, with SSH Rawang, Selgate brings its digital, operational, and community expertise together under one roof, with the hospital’s systems front-ended by the Selangkah app, offering patients a fully integrated digital experience from registration to billing.
SSH Rawang also sets the benchmark for upcoming sister facilities in Sepang and Setia Alam, both slated to open in 2026, as part of Selgate’s broader goal to strengthen Selangor’s healthcare ecosystem.
The private hospital houses a wide range of specialist and diagnostic services, including orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics and paediatric cardiology, ophthalmology, ENT, bariatric surgery, hand and microsurgery, general surgery, general medicine, internal medicine, radiology, and anaesthesiology.
Beyond its facilities, SSH Rawang is deeply committed to fostering long-term community well-being. Prior to its opening, the hospital engaged with various pillars of the Rawang community and has since signed on as a key sponsor of the upcoming Rawang Marathon on November 16, 2025.
Through such initiatives, Selgate continues to position itself as a community health champion, encouraging preventive care, active living, and holistic wellness among residents.
The Group believes health care should not just be a service, but a shared experience that empowers communities to live healthier, more connected lives.
“The opening of Selgate Specialist Hospital Rawang marks more than just a milestone — it represents our commitment to redefining how healthcare is experienced in Malaysia,” said Miranda Harumal, Chief Executive Officer, Central Region, Selgate Group of Hospitals.
“From digital innovation through Selcare and Selangkah to now establishing our own specialist hospitals, we’ve built a truly integrated ecosystem of care, one that meets Malaysians where they are, whether online or on the ground.
“Our goal is to deliver care that combines clinical excellence with a human touch, where every patient feels seen, heard, and supported throughout their journey.”
Following the opening of SSH Rawang, Selgate will continue its expansion with the launch of Selgate Specialist Hospital Sepang and Selgate Specialist Hospital Setia Alam in 2026.
Each new facility will extend Selgate’s promise of accessible and compassionate health care, while setting new standards for patient experience and hospital design across Selangor.
