Medic Footprints Malaysia To Host Healthcare Diverse Careers Event

The event will gather in one place health care professionals such as doctors, dentists, and pharmacists who would like to transition to roles in other fields and industries.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 16 – Medic Footprints Malaysia (MFM) will be organising the Healthcare Diverse Careers Conference and Exhibition (HDCC 2023) on August 19 and 20, 2023, at the Sime Darby Convention Centre (SDCC), Kuala Lumpur.

The HDCC will gather in one place health care professionals such as doctors, dentists, and pharmacists who would like to transition to roles in other fields and industries.

In addition to career transition topics, topics on leadership and management in health care will also be presented by various industry leaders. The event will be a one-stop centre that can enable health care professionals to network, find mentors, speak with and submit their resumes to potential employers.

“Health care professionals can continue to impact patient care beyond the clinical setting. Compared to traditional roles, there are new and exciting roles in health care today for these professionals to embrace,” said Dr Selina Chew, MFM managing director.

A recent media report indicated that 62 per cent of health care workers are thinking of quitting the service, due to a lack of career progression pathways and permanent positions.

MFM has stepped forward to connect these health care professionals with diverse careers, be it in clinical or non-clinical professions. Health care professionals seeking more information can click here for more information.
