Here’s Where Klang Valley Seniors Can Walk In For Boosters

From Jan 19, Covid booster jab walk-ins for seniors are open daily (except public holidays) at WTC and Axiata Arena in KL, Ideal Convention Centre in Shah Alam, and Soka Gakkai in Klang.

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 18 – Senior citizens aged 60 and older can walk in from tomorrow to four Covid-19 vaccine centres (PPVs) in the Klang Valley for their booster jabs.

The Integrated PPVs are the World Trade Centre PPV in Kuala Lumpur, Axiata Arena PPV in Bukit Jalil, Ideal Convention Centre in Shah Alam, and Soka Gakkai in Klang.

All four are open every day except public holidays. The World Trade Centre, Axiata Arena, and Ideal Convention Centre PPVs are open for walk-ins from 2pm to 8pm, whereas the Soka Gakkai PPV is open from 12pm to 4pm.

Adults are now eligible for their third coronavirus shot three months from their second dose.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) also announced yesterday that Offsite PPVs in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Penang, and Sarawak will provide Covid-19 vaccination services to senior citizens from January 24.

A list of these PPVs will be announced by ProtectHealth Corporation that manages the participation of private medical practitioners in the Covid-19 inoculation drive.

As of January 16, more than 70 per cent of people aged 60 years and older in the Klang Valley, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Penang, and Sarawak have been boosted.

MOH also announced that vaccination appointments at Integrated PPVs in the Klang Valley currently offer AstraZeneca boosters to individuals initially inoculated with AstraZeneca or Sinovac.

Starting tomorrow, these PPVs will offer Pfizer boosters specially to certain individuals like pregnant women or those who are allergic to AstraZeneca’s vaccine.
