KUALA LUMPUR, May 21 — The second round of bookings for AstraZeneca-Oxford’s Covid-19 vaccine will open this Sunday at 12pm for residents aged 60 years and older in the Klang Valley, Penang, Johor, Kuching, and Miri on a first-come, first-served basis.

Vaccine Minister Khairy Jamaluddin tweeted today that the opt-in voluntary stream for the AstraZeneca shot will be open for online registrations at vaksincovid.gov.my

Those interested in booking appointments for the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine must have previously registered for vaccination under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK).

They should also ensure that the identity card numbers and addresses listed on the MySejahtera app are correct.

Dr Helmi Zakariah from the Selangor Task Force Covid-19 (STFC) has called for volunteers to help him book a slot for senior citizens for the AstraZeneca shot.

He tweeted that he currently has a list of more than 5,000 elderly people who are interested in getting vaccinated.

“Can’t I just give this “elderly yg buta IT” list to you ke @JKJAVMY ? Any way we can do batch upload?” Dr Helmi tweeted, tagging the Special Committee on Ensuring Access to Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).

Khairy previously said that the second round of AstraZeneca vaccinations will use 1.1 million doses from the global COVAX vaccine-sharing programme.
