Adham: 157 Covid Clusters In Manufacturing Sector During Third Wave

Negeri Sembilan reported about 82 daily Covid-19 cases on average on January 30 (five-day moving average).

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 5 — The third wave of the Malaysian epidemic saw 157 Covid-19 clusters in the manufacturing sector, among the highest among workplace outbreaks, Adham Baba said today.

The health minister said 38,849 positive cases were found in those 157 clusters, while 147,916 people have been screened.

Dr Adham went down to the ground today to monitor the closure of a factory in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan, after a Covid-19 outbreak.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) said the factory was closed for decontamination and disinfection with monitoring by the Seremban district health office.

MOH disease control division director Dr Norhayati Rusli and Seremban district health office officials were also present at the factory closure operation.
