KUALA LUMPUR, May 14 — BFM radio station founder Malek Ali has co-founded an insurance online platform that promises higher coverage.
Fintech Malaysia reported that the insurance technology start-up called Fi Life, co-founded by Malek and Tan Jiann Meng, went live yesterday.
Fi Life is a rebrand of U For Life that the duo had acquired from German reinsurer Hannover Re and New Zealand underwriting software company, Intelligent Life.
The insurance technology company reportedly offers insurance services through a mobile and desktop site, including life insurance coverage up to RM1 million, as well as critical illness and personal accident policies.
Fintech Malaysia reported that users with medical history problems could still get cover, subject to Fi Life’s assessment.
Fi Life’s website claims that it has facilitated more than RM600 million in life insurance coverage since its 2015 launch under the previous U For Life brand name.
