Canvas Beds, CPR On Floor In Taiping Hospital: DPM’s Aide

In a video of his Nov 13 visit to Taiping Hospital, DPM's aide Neow Choo Seong showed canvas beds in the ED, saying patients are forced to get CPR on the floor during peak periods. An NGO wants to donate hospital beds. JKN Perak says it's investigating.

Rat Bites Patient In Ipoh General Hospital Ward

A rat bit a patient in a ward at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB) in Ipoh last Sept. The 61yo man was treated early and referred to a clinic. JKN Perak says after a probe, HRPB's public health unit now conducts monthly spot checks for rat control.

MOH’s Perak Ambulance Service Stops Written Death Verification For Next-Of-Kin To Avoid Lawsuits

In Dec 2022, JKN Perak ordered the ambulance service by MOH hospitals and PKDs statewide to stop providing deceased emergency cases' next-of-kin the Death Verification Form to avoid "medicolegal" issues. MOH staff on site will only verbally declare death.
