Doctors are furious over MOH's revelation that raising the on-call allowance only costs RM80 million annually, amid rising doctor resignations, comparing it to MPs' income (up to RM40,000 monthly), RM17bil Penang LRT project and RM4bil Kota Madani project.

New ePlacement System: Sabah/ Sarawak Requirement Among Three Options, Algorithm Determines Placements

ePlacement for 2,248 MOs set for June 24. In a new system, MOs must pick 3 facilities, including a mandatory Sabah/Sarawak option. An algorithm will solely decide placements, free of human bias, based on weighted personal, health, family & career factors.

HLP Scholarship Bonds Exceed MOH’s Parallel Pathway Costs By 47% To 4,787%

HLP bonds of RM350,000, RM500,000 or RM700,000 for 15 parallel pathway programmes exceed actual costs spent by the MOH on these scholarships for specialisation by between 47% (forensic) and 4,787% (ophthalmology). Actual costs include fees, allowances etc.
