An MMA survey among 728 doctors from the public and private sectors (two-thirds of whom were MOs) shows 30%-40% across all states reported bullying. Highest number of doctor bullying cases reported in Sarawak. 60% of junior doctors work overtime daily.

MMA wants a thorough investigation into the alleged bullying and sexual harassment of housemen at Sungai Buloh Hospital’s O&G dept, saying it proposed at the Feb town hall with the health minister to hold HODs responsible for bullying in their department.

Hospital Sungai Buloh says an investigation committee, formed to probe housemen's bullying claims, found some complaints were valid, some were baseless. Improvement measures were taken. HSB did not specify which claims were valid/ what action was taken.
