‘Long Covid’ sufferers experience symptoms such as severe fatigue, memory problems, loss of appetite, diarrhoea, muscle and chest pains, difficulty thinking and concentrating, breathlessness, as well as psychiatric illnesses such as depression.
The Galen Centre highlighted numerous barriers during the Covid-19 vaccine rollout, which includes barriers to reach rural communities, undocumented migrants, and stateless people.
Some of the first ones to be vaccinated in one of the hospitals in the United States were managers, coordinators, and others who do not do hands-on patient care.
The Galen Centre recommends three priority groups for Covid-19 vaccination: people aged above 60 and those with comorbidities; migrant workers, prisoners, and detainees; and essential service workers, including in health and social care, and law enforcement.
