Cardiac Hospital HOD Faces Two Sexual Harassment Allegations

An HOD at a cardiac centre in KL has been accused of sexual harassment by at least two women – a cardiothoracic surgery trainee and a nurse – who lodged reports last May. KL police have probed the cases and referred them to Bukit Aman’s legal division.

Nearly 3,000 patients are on MOH’s cardiothoracic surgery waiting list, with paediatric cases waiting an average of 21 months. Another 9,233 await cataract operations (3 months) and 2,661 for kidney stone surgeries (11 months), Dzulkefly told Parliament.
