On March 9, Malaysia’s daily doses administered was at the peak with 29,560 doses administered, but following that, it declined by 12% to 25,986 doses on March 11.
Within two weeks from last 25 Jan, 152 Covid-19 Assessment Centres (CAC) nationwide assessed a total of 60,052 Covid-19 patients, with 20,089 (33.5%) patients meeting the criteria for home isolation.
In terms of absolute number of doses administered, Kuala Lumpur is the third highest among other states and federal territories, administering 20,510 doses as of March 10.
The vaccine minister says that Malaysia aims to achieve herd immunity by Feb 2022, with a target of 160,000 daily doses administered during the second and third phase of the Covid-19 vaccination programme.
