National Blood Donation 2022/ 2023 Is Back

The National Blood Donation project by University of Malaya undergrads is organising blood drive stations until May 4 in several states around Malaysia.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 20 – National Blood Donation (NBD) is a student-led initiative project organised by University of Malaya (UM) undergraduates. It was established in 1997 and has been running for 24 years at various locations nationwide. Up to 2022, the team has conducted 133 blood drive stations and collected 36,633 blood packs.

The aim of this blood donation drive is to reduce the shortage of blood supply in the country and increase public awareness about the importance of donating blood, especially among the younger generation.

This year’s slogan for NBD is “Give of Your Blood, Gift of Their Lives”, which hopes to portray blood donation as a meaningful action that can save lives.
