KUALA LUMPUR, March 23 – Technical issues caused the MySejahtera system to send erroneous Covid-19 booster vaccination appointments to ineligible adolescents, as well as dates for fourth doses for adults.
Coronavirus booster vaccine doses are currently only available for adults aged 18 and above, while the government has not yet rolled out fourth doses for the general public.
“If you have already made a booster dose appointment for your dependent or for a fourth dose through the link that was sent, please cancel the appointment; you do not need to go to the Covid-19 vaccination centre (PPV),” the MySejahtera unit under the Ministry of Health (MOH) said today.
“PPVs have already informed about this and they will turn away teenagers who come for their booster dose, as well as individuals who come for their second booster dose or fourth dose.
“MySejahtera’s technical team is currently fixing this and apologises for any inconveniences arising from this technical problem.”
The MySejahtera unit did not state how many erroneous booster vaccination appointments were issued from the mobile app.
