Private Hospitals Are Safe, Continue Seeking Treatment — APHM

We are once again ready to assist the public hospitals in providing infrastructure and manpower support, particularly in managing non-Covid patients.

Association of Private Hospitals Malaysia (APHM) are deeply concerned with the current Covid-19 situation in the country, as the number of cases has exceeded the earlier recorded cases in the first few waves.

We hope the curve is brought down and the situation normalises.

Private hospitals in the country are currently safe and all precautions based on the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) by the government are being followed.

Patients should not have any fear seeking treatment in hospitals and we advise all patients to continue to maintain good health and seek early treatment to avoid complications.

We are once again ready to assist the public hospitals in providing infrastructure and manpower support, particularly in managing non-Covid patients.

This will further strengthen the Ministry of Health to manage the patients with Covid-19 and enhance screening.

We believe strongly that these new numbers that has recently emerged will be tackled swiftly based on the country’s earlier experience.

The Association would like to remind all those who had some potential exposure to this virus to get screened immediately either at a nearest public or private hospital.

Dr Kuljit Singh is the president of APHM.
