KUALA LUMPUR, August 6 — A staff from the Kuala Terengganu Veterinarian Department was sentenced today to two months’ imprisonment for sexually harassing women and for impersonating a gynaecologist.
The Star reported that Mohd Fauzi Abd Ghani, who was unrepresented, pleaded guilty at the Sessions Court in Kuala Kubu Baru to four charges — two each under Section 509 of the Penal Code for using words intended to insult the modesty of a person and under Section 170 for impersonating a public servant.
The 39-year-old man was accused of calling up a 21-year-old woman from Batang Kali on June 13, when he told her that she had breast cancer and asked her to massage the lumps in her breasts.
For the second charge, Mohd Fauzi was accused of phoning a 21-year-old woman from Serendah on June 25, when he told her she had lumps in her breasts and asked her to slap her chest with her mobile phone to break up the lumps.
He also allegedly told her to squat and to rub her genitals to get better sex with her future husband.
Sessions Court judge Nurul Madhiah Mohammed Redza sentenced Mohd Fauzi to two months’ jail for each charge under Section 509 and one month’s imprisonment for two charges under Section 170.
The judge ordered his sentences to run concurrently from the date of arrest.
Hulu Selangor police reportedly said Mohd Fauzi’s victims across the country have filed complaints against him since last January.
