Daily vaccination capacity in Kulai and Kluang must be increased so that the percentage of the vaccinated population can catch up with other districts.
Weekly vaccine doses administered rose 39% in Johor, 31% in Sabah, and 22% in Penang the past three weeks, while inoculation rates dropped in high-vaccine coverage states of Sarawak, Labuan, Negeri Sembilan, the Klang Valley, and Perlis.
Johor is also facing a constraint in opening up more ICU beds because of a lack of human resources and a high number of non-Covid patients who also require intensive care.
Malaysian and Singaporean citizens and permanent residents living or working in Johor can self-quarantine at home, while those living or working outside Johor will be quarantined in government-designated stations.
