How Unsafe Ratios At HSAJB Put Patients At Risk — Medical Officer

An MO claims that contract MOs haven't been deployed to HSAJB yet as promised. Instead, all temporary MOs at HSAJB were recalled and sent to Pasir Gudang Hospital. HSAJB's main shortage is in internal medicine. On-call ratio is 1 doctor to 80 patients.

JKNJ is mobilising contract doctors to curb MO shortages in Johor hospitals. HSAJB has been routinely diverting mostly Green Zone cases from its emergency department since July 2025, but Yellow Zone diversions became more frequent since last month.
