The Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force says Selangor received for state-wide distribution 615,210 vaccine doses as of June 1, the highest in Malaysia, followed by KL and Putrajaya with 578,130 doses, and Johor (370,680 doses).
Patients can get complications from Covid-19, including cardiovascular, pulmonary, renal, neurology or psychiatry, and even more serious conditions such as multisystem inflammatory syndrome (MIS) or autoimmune conditions.
It is very disturbing to see that the national disinfection exercise, which was first heavily criticised 15 months ago by local experts, is being repeated.
Selangor only administered 398,029 vaccine doses by May 30, leaving some 2.5 million doses of its 2.9 million supply -- the biggest in Malaysia -- that have yet to be used.
Kelantan -- with 4,561 official Covid-19 cases from May 23-29, the second-highest in Malaysia after Selangor’s 16,944 confirmed infections -- recorded the top positive rate at nearly 12%.
RTK-Ag is used as a diagnostic test in districts or states with Covid-19 prevalence above 10%, but a concordance analysis of RTK-Ag and RT-PCR will be used too.
