Minister’s Advisor Promises October Tabling For Tobacco Bill

The Health Minister’s special advisor, Dr Kelvin Yii, says the government is targeting to table the tobacco bill in the upcoming Oct Parliament meeting, and that MOH is awaiting recommendations for amendments to the bill from the Health PSSC.

Malaysia’s Vape Industry Grew 53%, Adult Users Rose 27% – Before Nicotine Delisting

MVCC's 2023 report finds that the retail value for Malaysia's vape market increased 53% to nearly RM3.5 billion in 2023 from 2019; the number of adult vape users rose 27% to 1.4 million in 2022 from 2019. Disposable vape quickly gained market share to 32%.
