PMCare To Honour Claims By Panel Doctors Without Valid APC

PMCare says it will honour claims for services rendered by existing panel doctors awaiting 2026 APC, but medical practitioners who want to join the TPA's panel must have a valid APC. Problems with APC renewal aren't new, with previous delays up to March.

Private hospital group IHH Healthcare Malaysia and university hospital UMMC are permitting their doctors to practise pending 2026 APC issuance, while stressing safe patient care. About 4% of doctors across IHH hospitals are presently affected by the delay.

MMC: Over 3,500 Outstanding Doctors’ APC Applications After Backlog Processed

MMC says as of 8am today, it has approved over 10,000 out of some 14,000 doctors’ APC applications outstanding by Dec 31, 2025. The remaining 3,515 APC applications, which comprise 4% of some 84,000 total applications, need more information from doctors.
