KUALA LUMPUR, March 16 — Malaysia’s average daily Covid-19 vaccine doses administered increased by 15.6 per cent over a fortnight as of March 15.
Between March 2 and March 8, the average daily doses administered was 19,155. Following that, between March 9 and March 15, the average daily shots to the arm increased to 22,139 doses.
If the average daily dose administered is maintained at 22,139, in eight days, the government will be able to achieve its target of inoculating all 500,000 frontliners with the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine before March 31.
Meanwhile, the daily doses administered increased from 9,595 doses on March 14 to 19,634 doses on March 15.
With 16 days left for the country to move into Phase Two of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, the government has managed to inoculate 321,333 frontliners with the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, achieving 64.3 per cent of Phase One’s target.
