Virtusa Supports Global Digital Transformation Initiative At IHH Healthcare

The collaboration aims to modernise digital infrastructure and explore GenAI-powered use cases to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

SINGAPORE, July 25 — Virtusa Corporation, a global leader in digital engineering and IT services, reacently announced a multi-year strategic partnership with IHH Healthcare, a world-leading integrated health care provider, to support its digital transformation initiative across Singapore, Malaysia, India, and other key markets.

Focusing on modernising IHH’s technology platforms, the goal is to deliver improved patient experiences, streamline hospital and clinical workflows, and reduce long-term cost of ownership.

One aspect of the initiative will explore the use of GenAI and Agentic AI applications across the healthcare value chain – from patient care and hospital management to billing systems and regulatory compliance.

Virtusa President and Chief Executive Officer Nitesh Banga said, “This long-term collaboration goes far beyond standard service delivery. It’s designed to embed innovation into IHH Healthcare’s core operations, enabling smarter, faster, and more seamless care for patients, while creating a consistent, high-quality digital experience for all stakeholders.

“This partnership also marks a key milestone for Virtusa in Singapore and across APAC. It reinforces our commitment to both public and private sector innovation in the region and positions us as a critical partner in Asia’s shift from outsourcing to outcome-sourcing.”

The announcement comes shortly after Virtusa’s acquisition of boutique Salesforce consultancy, Mav3rik — with operations in Australia and the Philippines — and the opening of a China entity to service Virtusa’s regional and global customers.

IHH Healthcare Group Chief Information Officer Linus Tham said, “Partnering with Virtusa marks a significant step in advancing our digital transformation, helping us provide smart, more efficient care to our patients.

“By utilising technologies like GenAI, we continue to enhance accessibility, convenience, and the overall patient experience. This collaboration highlights our commitment to improving the quality of care and redefining the future of patient-centered healthcare.”

Asia is Virtusa’s fastest-growing market this year, and the company is doubling down on its commitment by relocating its regional headquarters to a brand-new Singapore office later in 2025.

The expanded presence will serve as a hub for Asean operations and support Virtusa’s strategy to build a strong partner ecosystem across the region.

Virtusa currently works with over 200 Forbes Global 2000 companies across sectors including financial services, insurance, healthcare, and the public sector.

It employs over 27,000 professionals globally, with plans to expand delivery centres in Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia to support rising client demand for local talent, linguistic diversity, regional business continuity.
