Compensate Doctors For Inconvenience From Last-Minute Postings — MMA

Arrangements to relocate to another state requires advance notice to manage financial commitments like rental payments and other bills, make travel arrangements, find accommodation, pack and for some, even make arrangements to care for loved ones.

The government must take full responsibility and compensate the medical officers for the inconvenience caused by last-minute postings.

It is unreasonable to expect the medical officers concerned to report for duty in another state at such ridiculously short notice.

We hope the JPA (Public Service Department) and the MOH (Ministry of Health) will get to the bottom of this issue and straighten out the department responsible for the poor planning.

If they are parents, they may need to take their children with them and find daycare or enroll them in new schools.

MOH and JPA must take a serious view of the issue and ensure no repeat of such incidents.
