MOH Justifies Maternity Leave Restriction: Seven Medical Officers Took Simultaneous Maternity Leave

In justifying maternity leave restriction to 60 days for medical officers in Klinik Kesihatan in Hulu Langat, MOH says 7 MOs took simultaneous maternity leave in a few KKs. Some MOs who were instructed to report for duty had also rejected their placements.

Hulu Langat PKD Caps Medical Officers’ Maternity Leave At 60 Days Amid ‘Critical Shortage’ In Klinik Kesihatan

Hulu Langat PKD has capped maternity leave to 60 days for all medical officers in klinik kesihatan in the district, due to a "critical shortage" of MOs in all KKs. Under the Employment Act, private sector employees are entitled to 98 days' maternity leave.
