MOH Gets New Deputy Sec-Gen Norazman, Previously From MITI

Norazman Ayob – who was formerly deputy secretary-general for nearly five years at MITI, senior private secretary to the KSN (the late Ali Hamsa), and a director at 1MDB – has been appointed deputy secretary-general (finance) at MOH.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 24 – Norazman Ayob has been transferred from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) to be the new deputy secretary-general (finance) at the Ministry of Health (MOH).

Norazman’s last position was deputy secretary-general (industry) at MITI. He was appointed deputy secretary-general at MITI in July 2018, serving for nearly five years before his appointment at MOH.

MOH announced Norazman’s appointment on its Facebook page yesterday.

Before his appointment at MITI in 2018, Norazman served for about six years as senior private secretary to the late Ali Hamsa, who was then the chief secretary to the government.

When he served as Ali’s senior private secretary, Norazman was appointed to 1Malaysia Development Berhad’s (1MDB) new board of directors in 2016.

Throughout Norazman’s years of service in the public sector, he has not served in the MOH.

MOH has yet to announce its new secretary-general, after Harjeet Singh Hardev Singh retired last February 24.
