I am writing this in reference to the recent article — “Government to Hasten Covid-19 Vaccination In KL, Selangor: Adham”.
I would like to highlight the plight of our organisation — a private medical laboratory, the largest in the country. Yet, none of our frontline staff in Petaling Jaya have received any notification for vaccination.
We have reached out to the Ministry of Health, the Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri and the Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah to enquire if our staff can be scheduled to be vaccinated.
Up until now, the official response is to wait for the notification on the MySejahtera app.
Our laboratory receives and processes Covid-19 samples daily. We hope we can be considered as frontliners, given that we regularly process patient samples for Covid-19.
