MOH Records Two New Covid-19 Cases

The Covid-19 death toll in the country remains the same at 121.

KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 — The Ministry of Health (MOH) today announced two new Covid-19 cases in Malaysia, involving one local transmission and an imported case.

The local transmission case was identified in Sabah during screening before being referred to Likas Hospital from Kota Belud Hospital.

According to the MOH, the patient who is a Malaysian did not show any symptoms of Covid-19 and was detected positive by using the RTK-Antigen kit.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 patients in the country to 8,639.

A total of 20 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospital, marking the total number of recovered patients in the country to 8,354.

According to MOH, 164 patients are still receiving treatment in hospital while four patients have been placed in the intensive care unit, including a patient under ventilator support.

No new death was reported today, bringing the total number of deaths caused by coronavirus to 121 in the country.
