Special Committee Formed To Look Into Covid-19 Fatalities

The National COVID-19 Mortality Review Committee will be led by Dr. Christopher Lee.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 28 — The Ministry of Health has formed a special committee to review Covid-19 fatalities in hospitals.

The decision was made yesterday at a meeting of the national level Crisis Preparedness Response Centre (CPRC) and later announced via the Director General of Health’s Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah’s Facebook page.

The National Covid-19 Mortality Review Committee will be led by Dr. Christopher Lee, an infectious disease consultant and former Deputy Director General of Health (Research and Technical Support). He will be assisted in his task by specialists from various disciplines.

Through this committee, a review will be carried out on every aspect of the management, treatment and care received by the deceased. The outputs from the review are expected to help improve the ongoing management of Covid-19 cases.
