Coronavirus: Chinese Embassy Praises Permai Hospital’s ‘Extraordinary’ Skills, Quick Recovery

The government facility is praised for ensuring the speedy recovery of Chinese patients.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 4 — The Chinese embassy has thanked Permai Hospital Johor Bahru for its assistance and coordination in providing medical aid to China nationals with the novel coronavirus.

“Hospital Permai had provided necessary medical assistance to the Covid-19 patients and demonstrated extraordinary medical skills during their medical treatment,” the Chinese embassy in Kuala Lumpur said in an appreciation letter yesterday.

“As a result, the patients who are treated in your hospital have a speedy recovery,” it added, besides adding that the government hospital contributed to China’s fight against the epidemic.

A copy of the letter was shared by Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah today, who expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) front liners for their work combating the outbreak.

“MOH would like to appreciate all our front liners for their countless efforts and sacrifices to further enhance the level of preparedness in all aspects of the our (sic) health system to address Covid-19 in a holistic approach,” he tweeted.

Permai Hospital and Sungai Buloh Hospital are among the 26 government hospitals selected for Covid-19 isolation and admission. Permai is the main hospital for patients in Johor.
