Six Coronavirus Deaths Reported In The US

The US has confirmed over 100 Covid-19 cases.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 3 — Six people have died in the United States, all in Washington state, from the novel coronavirus, amid over 100 infections in the country.

CNN reported that four of those who died from Covid-19 were residents at the Life Care Center nursing care facility in suburban Seattle, while four other cases were also linked to the facility.

Twenty-four new coronavirus cases were reported over the weekend, said CNN, including the first two deaths.

The US has now confirmed 102 Covid-19 cases nationwide across at least 11 states — Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Oregon, Rhode Island, New York, Oregon, Washington and Wisconsin.

According to CNN, the novel coronavirus has killed more than 3,000 people, with over 89,000 cases reported around the world. More than 70 countries and territories have confirmed infections of the viral disease.

South Korea today reported 600 new cases, pushing the total number of cases past 4,800, including 28 deaths. This marks the biggest outbreak outside mainland China where Covid-19 originated from the central Chinese city of Wuhan. Most coronavirus infections in South Korea are located in Daegu city.
