KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 11 – The government is providing a special payment of RM500 for civil servants, including doctors and nurses, according to Budget 2020 tabled today.
“The country records its appreciation to the Malaysian Armed Forces, Royal Malaysian Police, Fire Rescue Department, Royal Malaysian Customs Department, doctors, nurses, teachers and all civil servants for tirelessly striving to make Malaysia better,” said Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng during the tabling of the federal government budget.
“For your effort and dedication, the government would like to announce a special payment of RM500 for civil servants Grade 56 and below.
“For government retirees, a special payment of RM250 will be paid and this will be extended to non-pensionable veterans,” he added.
All of these payments will be made before the end of this year.
