Dzulkefly To Tell Vietnam About Hospitals’ Work Towards Achieving Malaysia’s Health Goals

Health Minister Dzulkefly Ahmad arrived at Hanoi, Vietnam, today for a four-day working visit till Friday.

KUALA LUMPUR, September 10 — Minister of Health Dzulkefly Ahmad has safely arrived at the Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi, Vietnam for a 4-day working visit from 10-13 September.

Dzulkefly will be attending the 2019 Hospital Management Asia Conference at the National Convention Centre on Wednesday, during which he will be one of the panelists in the Health Ministers panelist session.

Dzulkefly is expected to deliver an 8-minute speech on Malaysia’s healthcare objectives and how is Malaysia working with hospitals to achieve these objectives.

Joining him in the session are Vietnam’s Minister of Health, The Hon. Prof. Nguyen Thi Kim Tien; and Vietnam’s WHO Country Representative, Dr Kidong Park.

Dzulkefly will also witness the signing of MoUs between Malaysia’s private hospitals and Vietnam’s private hospitals in a ceremony at the NCC, after the conference. The ceremony will be coordinated by the Malaysia Health Tourism Council (MHTC).

On Thursday, Dzulkefly will visit Hanoi French Hospital, here, to see the deployment of electronic medical records (EMR) at the hospital, before attending the Asian Hospital Management Awards ceremony later in the evening.

Two Malaysia’s private hospitals will receive awards in their respective categories that evening. The working visit will be concluded on Friday.
