KUALA LUMPUR, May 17 — Two students from one of Malaysia’s most prestigious private universities killed themselves within the space of a week.
New Straits Times reported that the first suicide happened on May 6 and the second on May 14.
The university based in the Klang Valley reportedly organised a grief counselling session and a talk on suicide and mental health after the deaths.
Suicide among youths has grabbed national attention after a 16-year-old girl from Kuching, Sarawak, allegedly killed herself last Monday following an Instagram poll in which her followers supported her choice to die.
