MP Wants Government Clinic At Pulau Gaya

Putatan MP Awang Husaini Sahari also wants a bigger Klinik Kesihatan in Putatan.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 27 – Putatan MP Awang Husaini Sahari urged the Health Ministry today to build a clinic in Pulau Gaya for its 5,000 residents.

The Sabahan lawmaker said the absence of a “Klinik Kesihatan” in the water village forced residents to go to Kota Kinabalu for treatment.

“I am confident that the construction of a Klinik Kesihatan Pulau Gaya will improve the quality of health in this area, besides making it easier for continuous health promotions to be conducted in this island,” Awang Husaini was quoted by BH Online as saying in a statement.

The PKR MP also reportedly told the Health Ministry to upgrade Klinik Kesihatan Putatan as current facilities could not handle the patient load.

“In efforts to improve public welfare, I ask the Health Ministry to enlarge the current Klinik Kesihatan in Putatan.”
